SOME customers of bookmakers Stan James are among those who were yesterday still unable to access funds in their accounts as a result of difficulties being experienced by payment-processing service Worldpay.

The National Lottery has also been fielding complaints from winners who have been left as frustrated as Worldpay’s direct business clients.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Stan James stated: “We sincerely apologise for recent withdrawal delays and understand your frustration.

“All requests have been processed by Stan James. The delay is with our payment service provider WorldPay.

“We are working tirelessly with WorldPay to resolve asap.”

In a further update posted yesterday, Stan James added: “Our payment service provider @Worldpay are still experiencing withdrawal delays. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.”

In a response to a disgruntled customer, The National Lottery yesterday tweeted: “We have been working closely with Worldpay and they expect this issue to be resolved shortly.”
