AIDAN O’BRIEN has left open the possibility of Arc heroine Found taking flight to America for the Breeders’ Cup in just under three weeks time.

The four-year-old followed up her magnificent display in Chantilly with a second-placed finish in the Champion Stakes behind Almanzor at Ascot on Saturday, in what was her ninth race of the calendar year.

O’Brien said: “They are all fine and all seemed to come out of Champions Day good. Don’t rule any of them in or out of America, even Found. We’ll decide in seven or 10 days’ time.”

Minding was the star of the show for O’Brien on Saturday as she scooped her seventh career Group 1 when beating all-comers to land the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, and O’Brien was optimistic that she would continue in training for her fourth year.

He said: “I’m hoping she’s going to stay in training so she probably won’t be going again.”

After rounding off the one-two-three finish in the Arc for O’Brien, Order Of St George was sent off as the odds-on favourite for the Long Distance Cup but could only finish fourth, with his trainer suggesting he would be put away for the winter.

“If he was going to go back again he would have to go back for the race this week in France [the Prix Royal-Oak]. That’s probably too quick so I’d imagine he’ll be let off for the year,” said O’Brien.

The Ballydoyle trainer also had news of two other runners in the season-ending spectacle, saying US Army Ranger would reappear next year, while Seventh Heaven could form part of his string for America in the Filly & Mare Turf.
