2015 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf champion Hit It a Bomb is gearing up for a return to racing in the next few weeks.
According to Irish Racing.com, the 3-year-old son of War Front had a setback earlier this year, which has delayed his return to the races.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien told the website Sunday that the talented colt is “coming along well and we’re looking at running him in a race at the Oaks meeting at the Curragh next month. He’s suited to a mile to 10 furlongs.”
Hit It a Bomb was undefeated in three starts as a juvenile. The bay colt captured the listed Star Appeal Stakes at Dundalk on the all-weather prior to capturing the G1 BC Juvenile Turf at Keeneland.
Hit It a Bomb’s 2-year-old full sister, Brave Anna, captured the Group 3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot last week.
