Breeders’ Cup Winner Hit It A Bomb Returns To Action At Leopardstown Thursday

Hit It a Bomb rallies to win the G1 BC Juvenile Turf at Keeneland.

Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner Hit It a Bomb, who has not started since his victory at Keeneland, returns to action in the Group 3 Desmond Stakes at Leopardstown on Thursday.

The 3-year-old War Front colt will try to keep his perfect record intact as he takes on seven talented older rivals in the one-mile contest.

“He’s in good form and is just ready to start,” trainer Aidan O’Brien told Irish Racing. “It took a bit of time to get him back fit but he’s in good order.”

Among the challengers Hit It a Bomb will face is the multiple graded stakes winner Custom Cut, and stablemate Cougar Mountain, third in the 2015 Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Post time for the Desmond Stakes is 2:30 p.m. Eastern.
