THE fixture scheduled for Carlisle on Sunday has been cancelled due to a course frozen in places.
Track officials were forced to admit defeat on Saturday afternoon after temperatures plunged on Friday night.
Clerk of the course Andrew Tulloch said: “We’ve pulled stumps, the thermometer went down to -9C last night and with the forecast we have the frost is not going to come out.”
Sunday’s other fixtures at Leicester and Navan are not anticipated to be at risk and no inspections are planned at either course.
