JIM CROWLEY will have the chance to ride a rare winner for Godolphin on Saturday, as he replaces the suspended James Doyle aboard Home Of The Brave in the Betfred Hungerford Stakes.

Doyle picked up a five-day ban at Goodwood for careless riding in the Stewards’ Cup consolation race aboard Misterioso, and it comes into effect on Saturday, ruling him out of the Group 2.

He had ridden Home Of The Brave on his last two starts, winning the John Of Gaunt at Haydock and then finishing second in the Lennox Stakes.

Crowley and Palmer have struck a fine relationship this season with the jockey riding seven winners from 23 rides for the yard.

Godolphin are also represented by Richard Pankhurst, with Convey, Dark Emerald, Golden Steps, Jallota and Markaz completing the field.

In the Group 3 Betfred Geoffrey Freer Stakes Red Cardinal will attempt to complete a four-timer for David Simcock.

He faces Humphrey Bogart, Kings Fete, Battersea and Ormito.
