Lonely The Brave, Betway Stakes (Nursery), Wednesday
This colt was also given an entry for the Gimcrack on Saturday, but this looks a more realistic task. He won really well at Chelmsford, albeit against lesser rivals, and was then second in a three-runner nursery at Chester.
It was striking at Chelmsford that he is a big sort, so a switch to a more galloping track should suit him better. Off 84 he could have plenty more to offer.
Queen Kindly, Lowther Stakes, Thursday
A good one will be needed to down Fair Eva but there should be some each-way value and Queen Kindly could provide it. She ran a fine race on her second start in the Albany when third, then gained more experience with an easy win at Catterick.
Back to six furlongs is no issue and Richard Fahey has his team in great form.
Yalta, Nunthorpe Stakes, Friday
The evergreen Kingsgate Native was the last juvenile to win the Nunthorpe, but Yalta looks a very interesting contender having been supplemented.
The Mark Johnston-trained colt had been a big disappointment in Group company after two wins, but dropping back to the minimum led to a spectacular performance in the Molecomb at Goodwood. He lowered the two-year-old course record that day, and gets lumps of weight here.
Mokarris, Gimcrack Stakes, Saturday
Slow ground undid Mokarris in the Coventry, but he got back on track with a Listed win at Newbury last time. Simon Crisford continues to do well with his juveniles this season and this colt has only had three starts so there should be more to come.
