Newmarket’s Sir Mark Prescott has a good record in this €25,000 contest and fields Amour De Nuit, who looks to have a decent chance under Dennis Schiergen, the son of leading trainer Peter.

Sixth in the Ascot Stakes last time, Amour De Nuit has won twice over Wednesday’s trip.

Of his rivals, the Schiergen-trained Empoli (Adrie de Vries), who has been below par on his last few outings, looks a danger if back to his best.

However, on more recent form the filly Damour (Markus Klug/Martin Seidl) looks the main threat, getting weight.

She was second in a similar race in Italy last time, which was her first try at this distance, while top-weight Novano (Waldemar Hickst/Andreas Suborics) and Iraklion (Christian Sprengel/Filip Minarik) are others to consider.
