Horse Racing Returns To The Sonoma County Fair

Racing returns to Northern California as the Sonoma County Fair kicks off its short race meet July 28.

According to the Press Democrat, racing will be held Thursday through Sunday for the next three weeks.The final days of racing Aug. 12 to Aug. 14, occur after the fair concludes.

The track will run eight stakes races during the meet. The first is set for Saturday, with the sixth running of the Wine Country Stakes, a 1 1/16-mile contest for 3-year-old fillies.
