FRANKLIN D is now a best-priced 7-2 for Friday’s big betting race, the Betfred Mile, after Ryan Moore was confirmed for the recent impressive Newmarket winner.

Michael Bell’s charge is drawn in stall one for the 20-runner handicap, for which Red Avenger was the last horse to make the cut.

A general 10-1 chance, White Lake was the shortest price contender not to be declared, while Celestial Path will have to overcome stall 17 if he is to reward supporters.

All the main players have stood their ground in a 17-runner lineup for the Group 2 Qatar King George Stakes.

The market is headed by a pair of three-year-old fillies, Marsha and Easton Angel, who renew rivalries having finished first and second in the Listed City Walls Stakes at York earlier this month.

The card features a trio of Group 3 races, with the action kicking off at 2pm with the Betrfed Glorious Stakes over 1m4f, in which Godolphin field both Scottish and Elite Army.

Emotionless steps down in class in the Group 3 Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes, having failed to land a blow in the St James’s Palace Stakes at Ascot.

French trainer Francois Rohaut is doubly represented by Al Jazi and Growing Glory as he seeks to follow up last year’s success in the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate at 4.55
