Farrell dominates the Fair Grounds Oaks

Coffee Pot Stables’ Farrell sailed through a smooth six-furlong breeze Wednesday morning at Churchill Downs as she continued her preparation for next Friday’s G1 Kentucky Oaks.

The daughter of Malibu Moon official time for six furlongs was 1:13, with Splits of: 12, 24, 36, 48 and 1:00.60. Out 7F 1:27.80.

Trainer Todd Pletcher had several of his Derby contenders out to stretch their legs. Florida Derby winner Always Dreaming got a bit hot during his time out on the oval. Patch and Battalion Runner were also out.

Mark Casse’s duo of Classic Empire and State of Honor schooled at the starting gate before heading back to the stable area.
