KY Oaks Contender Miss Sky Warrior Works; Pletcher’s Derby Crew Gallops On Busy Morning At Churchill

KY Oaks contender Miss Sky Warrior, seen galloping at CD April 26

A bevy of Kentucky Derby and Oaks contenders were out Thursday morning during the designated 8:30-8:45 a.m. training time at Churchill Downs.

Trainer Todd Pletcher had all of his Derby horses out on track – Always Dreaming, Tapwrit, Patch, Battalion Runner, and Malagacy all galloped. Tapwrit is scheduled to work Friday.

Multiple graded stakes winner Miss Sky Warrior was out early this morning, getting in a four-furlong work prior to a heavy rainstorm that came through. (the track had dried out very well by 8:30).  Miss Sky Warrior worked 4F :49.20. Splits: 12.40, 24.80, 36.80. Out 5F 1:02.40, 6F 1:15.80.
