Great Minds puts away Shotgun Cowboy to win the G3 Texas Mile

Lone Star Park has announced that it will move two of its biggest races to Sundays.

The Daily Racing Form reports that the G3 Texas Mile and the G3 Lone Star Park Handicap will be moved. The Texas Mile, formerly run on a Friday night, will be carded for Sunday, May 7.

The Lone Star Park Handicap, which used to be run on Memorial Day, will now run Sunday, May 28. Both races are worth $ 200,000.

Lone Star is scheduled to race 50 days from April 20 through July 30.
