MORE OF THAT heads the BetVictor Gold Cup betting at 8-1 with the sponsors after 43 entries were received for the highlight of Cheltenham’s Open meeting.
The Jonjo O’Neill-trained eight-year-old defeated Annie Power to claim the World Hurdle in 2014 but, after impressing over fences in two novice chases at Cheltenham last season, he suffered a burst blood vessel in the RSA Chase at the Festival in March when finishing third as the 6-4 favourite.
More Of That is set to reappear in the Colin Parker Memorial Intermediate Chase at Carlisle on Sunday, where could come up against JLT runner-up Bristol De Mai, who has also been given an entry for the BetVictor Gold Cup by Nigel Twiston-Davies.
O’Neill could be further represented by 20-1 shot Taquin Du Seuil in the £160,000 handicap, which is run on Saturday, November 12.

Last year’s winner Annacotty has the chance to defend his crown for Alan King, while Evan Williams could let Buywise have another crack at landing the prize after finishing a half-length second last year.
Williams said: “The plan is to run either Buywise or King’s Odyssey in the BetVictor Gold Cup and which one goes to Cheltenham will be dictated by the ground. If the going doesn’t suit the one horse, hopefully it will suit the other.
“We are definitely keeping an eye on the race for Buywise again, although he is a much better horse on decent ground.
“King’s Odyssey is the complete opposite in terms of the ground. He is very good over his fences but would want plenty of cut. The BetVictor Gold Cup is the obvious target for him if the ground is soft enough.
“I hope that a mark of 147 would give him a very good chance if we got plenty of rain beforehand.”
Champion trainer Paul Nicholls holds eight entries, including Saphir Du Rheu and four-year-old Frodon, while Philip Hobbs has entered Garde La Victoire, who made an impressive return to action when landing the Welsh Champion Hurdle at Ffos Las.
BetVictor spokesman Charlie McCann said: “We are delighted by the quality and quantity of the entries for the inaugural staging of this historic handicap chase as the BetVictor Gold Cup.
“Our market is led by the former World Hurdler More Of That, who has such a terrific record at Cheltenham and is currently rated 13lb lower over fences than over hurdles.”
