The eagerly anticipated match-up between undefeated juvenile sensations Caravaggio and Lady Aurelia has been put on hold as it was announced Tuesday that Caravaggio will not run in Sunday’s Group 1 Prix Morny.

Irish Racing.com reports that trainer Aidan O’Brien won’t run the colt at Deauville, and will instead await the Group 1 Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes on Future Champions Day Sept. 24.

Both 2-year-olds are by the late stallion Scat Daddy, and both are currently undefeated. Caravaggio is a perfect four-for-four, most recently winning the G1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh.

Lady Aurelia arrived at Deauville over the weekend. She boasts a two-for-two record, which included her impressive seven-length romp in the G2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot.
