Pleasanton: Record Heat Forces Track To Cancel Opening Day Card

The Oak Tree at Pleasanton meet which was set to start Thursday has been canceled due to the record temperatures that have hit the area.

An excessive heat warning was issued for both Wednesday and Thursday, when temperatures were projected to reach 106 and 108 degrees.

Temperatures are predicted to hit 100 degrees again Friday before dropping to the 90’s for the weekend.
