Rain changes going at Salisbury to soft from good to firm

Salisbury: the going is now soft, good to soft in places

THE going at Salisbury has changed dramatically overnight, with the good to firm replaced by ground described as soft, good to soft in places, after 19mm of rain overnight.

Tuesday is to remain overcast with the possibility of further outbreaks of rain, albeit much lighter and more patchy. The going change has already resulted in four non-runners, with more likely to follow.

There have also been more minor changes to the going descriptions at Catterick and Nottingham, with the going at Catterick now good to firm (from good to firm, good in places), while Nottingham’s track is now good, good to firm in places (from good to firm, good in places).
