The latest updates to the point standings on the Road to the Kentucky Derby show that both of Saturday’s juvenile winners have entered the top ten on the leaderboard. Mo Town was the convincing winner of the G2 Remsen Stakes at Aqueduct, and McCraken remained undefeated to take the G2 Kentucky Jockey Club at Churchill Downs. Each colt earned 10 points for his victory, placing them in sixth and seventh, respectively, on the list.
Topping the standings still is Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner Classic Empire with 30 points. The retirement of Not This Time leaves Practical Joke’s 14 points in second position, followed by Gunnevera (10), Lookin at Lee (10), and Gormley (10). With the newcomers Mo Town and McCracken in sixth and seventh, the rest of the top ten is filled out by Wild Shot (6), No Dozing (5), and Klimt (4).
In the fillies’ race, this weekend’s winners Miss Sky Warrior (Demoiselle, Aqueduct) and Farrell (Golden Rod, Churchill) both entered the top ten for the first time, while Golden Rod runner-up Daddys Lil Darling took over the second position on the leaderboard. Leading the Road to the Kentucky Oaks standings is Juvenile Fillies winner Champagne Room (21), with Daddys Lil Darling’s 20 points making up second. Following those two are: Miss Sky Warrior (10), Dancing Rags (10), Yellow Agate (10), Shane’s Girlfriend (10), Noted and Quoted (10), Farrell (10), Valadorna (8), and Ever So Clever (6).
