The race was won by nine-year-olod jockey, son of Timmy Murphy who ride over 1000 winners over jumps and was most famously associated with the late owner David Johnson for the Martin and David Pipe yard.

Young Lucas has been making quitye a name for himself on the pony racing circuit in Gloucester and he’s tipped for a big future. Check out his interview at the end here with Hayley Moore – clearly a young man with not just riding talent!
