Six-Furlong Breeze Leaves Arrogate Wanting ‘More’

Trainer Bob Baffert was pleased with his champion colt Arrogate on Sunday morning, watching from the grandstand as he recorded his longest breeze since returning from Dubai. Under Martin Garcia, the 4-year-old son of Unbridled’s Song recorded six furlongs in 1:12.40, according to drf.com, passing a pair of horses from another stable who had started in front of him.

“He wants more,” Baffert said. “I didn’t want him to do anything fast. I wanted him to cruise around there and he caught those horses.”

The Longines World’s Best Racehorse, winner of the Breeders’ Cup Classic, Pegasus World Cup and Dubai World Cup, Arrogate is expected to target the San Diego Handicap at Del Mar on July 22 as a prep for the TVG Pacific Classic.
